5. The Healing at the Pool of Bethesda
“Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.” And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked.” John 5:8-9 (NKJV)
The pool of Bethesda was believed to have healing properties and a multitude of people with various ailments gathered there. Jesus encounters a man who had been paralyzed for 38 years and asks him, “Do you want to be healed?”
